Dr. Changsu Shim is a Professor in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Urban Design and Studies at Chung-Ang University, Seoul, Korea. He has been appointed to be a President of Korean Institute of BIM (KIBIM). His area of expertise comprises BIM-based for bridge design, construction and maintenance, composite structures, digital twin technology, prefabricated bridge construction, and 3D concrete printed structures.
Dr. Shim received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Seoul National University. He has published more than 90 journal papers, 15 books, and numerous conference papers. He currently is a chief of 6-year (2020-2025) large research project on “Development of smart construction technology”, funded by Korean government and cooperation with University of Cambridge.
