Lucy Hayes

Net Zero Lead, Lower Thames Crossing, National Highways

Lucy is the Net Zero Lead for the Lower Thames Crossing where she is responsible managing carbon on this pathfinder project. Working in the Integrated Client Team, she is embedding carbon into leadership, governance and design management.

She leads the work on carbon accreditation, carbon quantification and carbon skills, which includes helping LTC achieve PAS 2080 accreditation, writing the first Development Consent Order Carbon and Energy Management Plan for a UK roads project and assisting LTC in becoming first major UK infrastructure project to put carbon at the centre of its procurement process.

Lucy is a Senior Associate Director in the Carbon team at Jacobs and previously worked on a wide variety of carbon and energy projects including HS2, Heathrow Airport and national government.

She is a Fellow of the Energy Institute, a Chartered Environmentalist and Chartered Energy Manager.
