Martin is a distinguished figure in the field of Civil Engineering who studies and has a PhD from KIT, University of Karlsruhe, Germany, and the University of Wales, Swansea, UK. With a doctoral focus on "Load Carrying Capacity of Clamps on Spiral Strand and Full Locked Coil Cables," Martin has become an authority in the ropes industry. Since 2000, he has contributed significantly to technical advancements, sales strategies, and managerial endeavours across Germany, the UK, and Switzerland.

He is engaged in shaping industry standards and practices, serving as a member of national and international Standard Committees and Industry Bodies, including Eurocode 3, ASCE 19, AG Brückenseile, IABSE, EWRIS, and OIPEEC.
